You may have recently heard about Solicitors who do criminal legal aid who have been on “strike”: In fact what happened after July 1st was that Tates supported other Criminal Solicitors across the Country to object to the Government’s massive legal aid cuts. However, the action has stopped and we are continuing to look after you and will seek legal aid on your behalf wherever possible.
We continue to represent you at the Police Station and the Magistrates and Crown Court.
Don’t be put off by Police Officers or anyone else telling you that your Solicitor won’t or can’t attend at the Police Station– we can and we will. What happens in interview and at the Police Station may be crucial in your case and so it is always better to have us there – you are always entitled to free independent legal advice from us.
Likewise we will be pleased to represent you at the Magistrates and at the Crown Court. All the Solicitors here including John Batchelor, Nick Hammond, Michael Miller, Stephen Smithson, Alex Boyd and Abbi Whelan also have the skills to represent you through the whole Court process, including at your Crown Court Trial.
